• The first trail signs are unveiled! – September 29, 2023
- The Potawatomi-Miami Trail signs were installed on the Anabaptist Mennonite Biblical Seminary campus in Elkhart, IN. The unveiling took place on September 29, 2023 at the Rooted and Grounded Conference. An article about the event was published in a Mennonite Mission Network news release. • Indiana Senate Passes Resolution 17 on January 30, 2025 Historical significance of the Potawatomi-Miami Trail.
- Indiana State Senator, Blake Doriot, agreed to take a resolution to the State Senate acknowledging the historical significance of the Potawatomi-Miami Trail following a meeting with trail marker committee members in April 2024. Over the following months, the text of the resolution was crafted. Sen. Ryan Mishler and Sen. Linda Rogers joined Sen. Doriot in authoring the resolution. The resolution was co-Authored by: Sen. Travis Holdman, Sen. Jeff Raatz, Sen. Justin Busch, Sen. Andy Zay, Sen. Susan Glick, Sen. Tyler Johnson, Sen. Liz Brown and Sen. Stacey Donato.
- On January, 30, 2025, the resolution had its first reading before the Senate. The resolution was adopted by voice vote. This link from the Indiana Government website shows details of the resolution and the adoption.

• Trail marker sign unveiled at the Mennonite Central Committee Great Lakes Offices and The Depot location in Goshen, IN on May 30, 2025
- A dedication for the trail marker sign was held at 10:00 a.m. on May, 30, 2025 outside the building that houses The Depot and the Mennonite Central Committee Great Lakes offices. A group of supporters gathered to participate in the dedication of this sign. MCC Great Lakes is the fiscal sponsor for the Potawatomi-Miami Trail Marker Group. The trail passes through Oakridge Cemetery, which is 0.3 mile northeast of The Depot.
